What Is Required To Rent A Vehicle?

• Minimum age is 21 years old. (If under 24, a fee of $15 Per Day will apply)
• Valid Drivers License (International drivers require a License)
• Major Credit or Bank Issued Debit Card in the Renters Name (We do not accept cash or pre-paid cards)
• You must have valid, unexpired insurance that transfers to the rental vehicle. Proof of insurance is required to rent; please bring your insurance card or declaration with you.
• We have a geographic service area -you must live within the stores local area.

Are there any limitations on where I can drive a rental vehicle?

• Mileage allowed: up to 3500 a month, and .25 cents a mile thereafter.
• Geographic Restrictions Apply.
• Rental contracts must be re-written every 30 days to remain valid.
• All vehicles are covered under Toyota Warranty and include 24/7 Roadside Assistance.
• We include up to 500 miles a day with your rental, with a maximum of 3500 miles per rental. Additional mileage is charged at .25 cents a mile thereafter.

Does Scott Clark Toyota require a deposit?

We take an "authorization" (deposit) on your credit card at the time of rental for the total rental charges plus $300 as a security deposit. The $300 security deposit is released once the vehicle is inspected by a rental representative and returned in the same condition at checkout including a full tank of gas. Most credit card companies release your funds back to your account within 24-72 hours; please contact your credit card provider should you have questions.

If you are paying with a debit card, proof of address may be required.

$75.00 Holding Fee is required for all specialty vehicles such as SUV's, Trucks and Vans, and will be applied toward your rental charges.

Does Scott Clark Toyota offer a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?

If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver, you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle. If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We do not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. CDW is optional; your personal auto policy may cover damage to the rented vehicle. Please check with your insurer if you are uncertain about coverage.

Is smoking allowed in rental vehicles?

All of our vehicles are 100% smoke free. If the vehicle is found to have been smoked in, there may be a cleaning fee of up to $450 (plus damages, if any).

Can I transport my pet in a rental car?

In order to keep our vehicles in pristine condition for all of our customers to enjoy, we do not allow pets in our rental vehicles.

Can I tow a trailer or my boat with a rental vehicle?

Yes! We allow towing with select rentals, as long as the rental vehicle has our factory installed hitch. Please see rental associate for details.

What taxes or additional fees should I expect?

Due to our multiple locations in different counties, taxes and fees will vary. All rules and charges will be in your rental contract

Can I leave my personal car parked at the dealership?

Unfortunately we are unable to allow rental car clients to leave their personal vehicles in our parking lot.

Optional Services and Entertainment

• Under age driver?s fee- 21-24: ($15 per day). Some restrictions apply.
• Additional Driver(s) - $10.00 per day per driver. All drivers must present a valid drivers license at the time of rental.
• Additional headsets and DVD Player?s are available for a daily or weekly fee. (Available in Sequoia and Sienna)
• Tom Tom GPS Units for a daily or weekly fee

• FUEL OPTIONS: We do not refund or credit fuel. You have the option to prepay for a full tank of gas at our discounted current daily gas rate or refuel at your expense. Vehicles must be refueled to show a full tank of gas upon returning. If the vehicle is not full you will be charged $7.29 for each gallon to fill the tank. (Please return the vehicle with a full tank to save money!)
